Thanks to the courtesy of Dr. Aurora Martin, I had the opportunity to study the late Roman terracotta lamps from the Archaeological Museum of Gerona (Catalonia). In the Museum there are 8 lamps coming from Rosas, ancient Rhode, and one - from Gerona. The typological and chronological comparison allows to conclude that 7 lamps are of the North-African type, also called early Christian type. Another one, found in Rosas, is originally from Sicily. The last one, from Gerona, of similar type as the lamps “a suif”, is probably of local production. Excluding the last lamp, all the objects belong to the types Hayes IA, Hayes IIB and they probably have been imported from North Africa. In the Museum of Gerona no Iberian-Christian lamps were identified, of which some examples I noticed in the Archaeological Museum of Barcelona (MODRZEWSKA 2004).

Dzięki uprzejmości dr Aurory Martin z Muzeum Archeologicznego w Geronie (Katalonia) miałam możliwość zadokumentowania i opracowania późnorzymskich lampek terakotowych znajdujących się w zbiorach tego Muzeum. Osiem z tych lampek pochodzi z wykopalisk w Rosas, antycznym Rohde, oraz jedna - ze znaleziska w Geronie. Studium typologiczne i chronologiczne pozwala na stwierdzenie, iż 7 lampek należy do serii tego typu wyrobów zwanych północnoafrykańskimi lub wczesnochrześcijańskimi. Jedna zaś lampka, pochodząca z Rosas - ma pochodzenie sycylijskie. Inna z 9 lampek, pochodząca ze znaleziska w Geronie - pod względem formy zbliżona do typu zwanego „a suif” - jest zapewne lokalnej produkcji. Z wyjątkiem tej ostatniej, pozostałych 8 lampek można zaliczyć do typów Hayes IA i Hayes IIB i zapewne są one importami z Afryki Północnej. W Muzeum Archeologicznym w Geronie nie stwierdziłam obecności lampek iberyjsko-chrześcijańskich, które znajdują się w Muzeum Archeologicznym w Barcelonie (MODRZEWSKA 2004).
