Prof. Łukawski shares his recollections of Professor Balicki, with whom he worked in the Poster Design Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź for many years. Balicki appreciated simplicity and functionality. His work was a milestone in building the character of the Łódź school of graphic design that derived from the tradition of modernism. Not only did he continue this tradition, but also added new elements to the endless collection of modernism in art and design.
