The theme of the article is a synthetic presentation of various methods of job evaluation and showing the direction of changes in defining value of work positions. Human capital as the most important resource of the organization should be organized in the best way and rewarded in the most efficient way. The changing nature of the work content forces managers to adapt the techniques and methods’ evaluation to changing working conditions. The first part of the paper characterizes methods and techniques of job evaluation. The second part presents trends in constructing new methods, which are useful for modern businesses.
