Tekst zawiera opracowanie części wyników badań pilotażowych dotyczący aspiracji rodziców w stosunku do swoich dzieci uczniów klasy III szkoły podstawowej. Celem badań było uzyskanie danych na temat aspiracji (maksymalnych, minimalnych i realnych) oraz ich uwarunkowań związanych z miejscem zamieszkania, wykształceniem rodziców oraz płcią dziecka. W badaniu ankietowym wzięło udział 566 rodziców (w większości matki) z 16 województw. Wyniki badań potwierdzają tezę o rosnących aspiracjach rodziców do wyższego wykształcenia dzieci. Większość rodziców wyraża przekonanie, że ich dzieci są w stanie osiągnąć upragniony przez nich poziom wykształcenia. Najsilniejszym czynnikiem różnicującym aspiracje jest poziom wykształcenia rodzica, w mniejszym stopniu miejsce zamieszkania i płeć dziecka.

The text contain a part of the results of pilot studies concerning the aspiration of parents for their children, students of class III primary schools. The aim of the study was to obtain data on aspiration ( maximum, minimum and real) in relation to parents place of living ( a village vs. city), parents education and gender of the child. In the survey research participated 566 parents ( mostly mothers) from 16 provinces. The results confirm the thesis about rising aspirations of parents for children’s high education. Most of parents is convinced that their children are able to achieve their desired level of education. The strongest factor differentiating aspirations is the level of parent education, to a lesser extent, place of living and sex of the child.
