In August 2009 examinations in the cemetery of the Wielbark Culture in Krosno, Site 1, the Pasłęk Commune and District, the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship, were completed. They were launched in 1896 and were carried out with long intervals. In the course of all excavation seasons 505 ancient features were discovered and examined, including inhumation graves, cremation urn graves and hearths. During the last seasons in Krosno another cemetery was localised. It was examined in 2010 in the frame-work of rescue excavations, based upon the permission of the regional office of the Voivodeship Conservator of Monuments in Elbląg.
