The primary aim of this paper is to compare the political system of two countries and their relations in the political, economic and international areas. The aim of the author was to present a new topic that has not been described in the literature so far in a complex way. The highest number of conflicts and relations between those two countries was in the political (systemic) areas and over Western Pomerania (Gdańsk) territory. Due to the length of this paper, the author was forced to concentrate, from his point of view, on the most important subjects devoted to this topic. The political-law aspect of central administrative authorities in the area of legislative (the sejms) and executive (the head of state-president) has been described. This paper analyses mostly the content of the constitutions of those two countries and the basic literature considering them (written in Polish and in German). Moreover, international documents and magazines are discussed as well as draft legislation or transcripts of the sessions of central legislative authorities. The research method used in this paper is mainly an exegesis of legal texts: dogmatic-legal method completed by other methods: comparative and historical-legal.
