Technologie odgrywają kluczową rolę w procesach organizacyjnych i różnicowaniu struktur przedsiębiorstw.

Technology plays a key role in organizational processes and differentiation of structures. The aim of the paper is to identify and describe mechanisms underpinning the emergence and operation of the new technology of blockchain and organizational forms it supports. Literature review and mechanism-based theorizing, proposed by Davis and Marquis [2005], have been selected as most appropriate for the analysis. The study shows how the development of blockchain technology and structures (so-called community structures) condition and constitute each other. Raison-d’être of these structures is to benefit from the blockchain technology, and their development drives further advancement of the technology. The findings have important implications for strategic management, as the advancement of the blockchain technology and organizational structures it supports entails a new approach to building up a strategy and change of its nature.
