Face-urns known from Pomeranian Culture are very unusual kind of artifacts. Their uniqueness is mainly based on special, engraved decorations. By dint of this form and ornament, face-urn might act as a Image Medium and be a kind of connector between world of dead and living. Author analysis possible conceptual aims, of creating decorations on face-urns, merging them with function of Image Medium. Consideration are based on archaeological and art history theories.
