A speech of the laureate of POLONICUM Prize 2018 describing history of Russian and Slavonic Studies at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland from 1940’s till now. At present the Faculty of Russian and Slavonic Studies has three departments that provide courses of Polish Language and Culture, European Studies, Business Studies and Eastern Europe Studies. Moreover, Polish language is an optional course for the students of Russian Philology. The program offers evening courses of Polish, from beginner to advanced level as well as various courses dedicated to different aspects of Polish history and culture (literature, film and art) on the level of masters. Those courses are dedicated to the students of comparative literature and translation studies.
