In his article, the author undertook considerations on relations and dependences between the single market of the European Union and the sphere of consumption, in a broad sense and treated in an aggregate way, in Poland. He intends to show the potential impact and consequences of the model construction of the single market as a form of regional integration, its principles and identifiable effects for the sphere of economy, market and consumption. The article may be a background and a base for identification of reasons and premises of a definite shape of the sphere of real consumption in Poland in the recent ten years, in the first period of Poland’s membership in the EU structures.

W artykule podjęte zostały rozważania nt. związków i zależności między wspólnym rynkiem Unii Europejskiej a szeroko rozumianą, ujmowaną agregatowo, sferą konsumpcji w Polsce. Zmierza on do ukazania potencjalnego wpływu i konsekwencji modelowej konstrukcji wspólnego rynku jako formy integracji regionalnej, jego zasad i identyfikowalnych efektów dla sfery gospodarki, rynku i konsumpcji. Artykuł może być tłem i stanowić płaszczyznę identyfikacji przyczyn i przesłanek określonego kształtu sfery realnej konsumpcji w Polsce w ostatnich dziesięciu latach, w pierwszym okresie obecności Polski w strukturach unijnych.
