In the article the present state of problem of industrial and domestic waste handling in Ukraine is reviewed, reasons of ineffectiveness of the existent waste control system functioning are explored. Author defines strategic directions of development and constituents of organizationally-economic mechanism of the noted system that provide ecological safety and resource-saving in waste circulation.
