Due to the surplus of workforce, the contemporary labour market is susceptible to various pathological phenomena. These include workaholism, burn-out or mobbing. According to the provisions of the Labour Code, mobbing means actions or forms of behaviour directed at employees, triggering among them low esteem of their professional suitability and resulting or aimed at humiliation, ridicule, isolation or elimination of such employees from teams. The results of mobbing apply in particular to victims, their families as well as the whole society which incurs the costs of mobbing. The methods of fighting against mobbing can be divided into three types: psychological, social and legal.
