Abstracts

Analizując dane GUS ze spisu rolnego z 2002 roku autor stwierdza, że latach 2002-2005 w rolnictwie: (i) utrzymała się tendencja zmniejszania liczby gospodarstw, lecz w dość niskim stopniu; (ii) nadal przeważają gospodarstwa drobne, a w strukturze nieco wzrósł udział gospodarstw o powierzchni 20-100 ha; (iii) przy bardzo dużym ubytku użytków rolnych w latach wcześniejszych, w omawianym okresie nastąpiło mimo to dalsze zmniejszenie powierzchni; (iv) wzrost powierzchni zasiewów, w tym głównie upraw pastewnych i grupy roślin pozostałych nastąpił w wyniku likwidacji znacznej części odłogów i ugorów, co miało związek z możliwością uzyskania dopłat bezpośrednich do gruntów zagospodarowanych; (v) w strukturze zasiewów poza występującą tendencją zmniejszania powierzchni uprawy ziemniaków i tendencją wzrostu powierzchni sadów nie zaszły większe zmiany i jest ona nadal mało atrakcyjna z punktu widzenia możliwości zbytu produkcji roślinnej na rynku międzynarodowym; (vi) po ogromnym spadku stanu pogłowia zwierząt gospodarskich w latach wcześniejszych, w okresie 2002-2005 nastąpiło dalsze zmniejszenie liczby gospodarstw utrzymujących zwierzęta oraz stanu zwierząt; (vii) zwierząt wyzbyły się głównie gospodarstwa drobne, natomiast w gospodarstwach dużych ich liczba wzrosła; (viii) przybyło ciągników i maszyn rolniczych. Similarly to the previous years, in 2005 the Polish agriculture sector consisted of a great number of the agricultural holdings. The pace of drop in the number of farms was slightly lower in 2002-2005 than it was noted in 1996-2002. This drop was mainly observed in the group of farms of 1-20 hectares. Whereas, the number of farms of 1 hectare and 20-100 hectares increased. Therefore, there are more small farms in the overall structure of agricultural holdings sector in Poland. The share of land owned by the farms of 20 and more hectares (4,3% of total) increased from 23% to 26,3%. Due to distribution of the EU direct subsidies for managed lands the sown area of feed crops and other crops increased by cultivations of the fallows lands. The sown structure with the great amount of cereals (mainly feed cereals) has not observed any significant changes which might have increased the appeal of the output on the external market. There were also a decrease in the potatoes area output and an increase in the orchards area. The share of cattle in the herds of 20 and more heads increased from 28,7 till 39,8%. In terms of pigs the share of the agricultural holdings increased among others in areas of 30 and more hectares. The structure of breeding was constant except the 1% growth in the herds of 200-499 heads. The number of the agricultural tractors and machines per farms has been improved. However, bigger number of the agricultural tractors and machines is noted in the smaller farms than in the larger farms (by calculating a number of equipment per sown area). (original abstract)
