Occurrences described by Ulrich Beck in his 'Society of risk' has inspired the author to take a look at the Polish reality. It seems that in our society similar process may be observed. Although Beck's essay concerned a very high spectrum of threatening, including biological, in Polish reality the author would like to focus mainly on problems connected with three levels of threats: social, political and economical. In this essay he would like to show those aspects of Polish reality which may escalate social anxiety connected with feeling of uncertainty. Methodical analysis shows process which may impair individuals feel of safeness. Since transformation in 1989 in Poland we may observe increasing social anxiety. This emotion has it's roots in few changes, by some people seen as a valuable modification. To this elements one may include: globalization, technological progress, introduction of free market rules in economy and UE integration. It seems to be logical presumption that individuals will do anything if they were threatened, that's why it should be possible to observe social reactions caused by growing feeling of risk. Therefore in the second part of his essay the author shows consequences of increasing social anxiety caused by strong feeling of uncertainty. To sum up, if described changes really lead to grow of social anxiety, then some reactions shall occur, which may be observed as a social facts. Identification of ways of reducing high feel of anxiety is than the main purpose of analysis.
