The purpose of the paper is to present possibilities of assignments e-project in statistics, econometrics and forecasting courses. In GRETL there is a big database of statistical information for United States, Great Britain, Japan and European countries. There is also another database for polish districts in 1999-2006, which contains over 2000 variables. This huge number of data ensure that student's assignments for statistics and econometrics courses can be use for large number of students at the same level of difficulty.
