Foreign direct investments (FDI) are an important source of not only financial capital but also technology, knowledge and skills. They are also one of the key factors of structural changes in the Polish economy. Joining European Union has meant participation in the single market and significant facilitation in the flow of foreign capital. This article aims to assess the importance of foreign direct investment from the Eurozone countries on the background of all foreign investment in Poland and their spatial and sectoral structure. Given that the Eurozone countries are classified as developed countries, it is felt that their investments will have a more positive impact on the economy of the host country than the average of all investments. Therefore, the spatial and sectoral structure of foreign direct investment made by companies from countries belonging to the Eurozone on the background of all FDI have been presented in the article. The main stress has been laid on the three main countries exporting capital into Poland: the Netherlands, Germany and France, which – jointly – represent an approximately 60% of all direct investments in Poland and 80% of the investment made by the companies from Eurozone countries.
