Development of E-commerce requires an appropriate telecommunications infrastructure. Small and intermediate enterprises needs within the scope of modern network services and problems connected with their realization were presented in the paper. Different solutions of access networks used for enterprise connection with "external world" (public stationary and mobile networks) were analysed. Conception of next generation telecommunications network (NGN) was discussed.

Rozwój e-gospodarki wymaga odpowiedniej infrastruktury telekomunikacyjnej. W artykule przedstawione zostały potrzeby małych i średnich firm w zakresie nowoczesnych usług sieciowych oraz problemy związane z ich realizacją. Przeanalizowane zostały różne rozwiązania sieci dostępowych zastosowanych dla połączenia firmy ze światem zewnętrznym (sieci publiczne stacjonarne i komórkowe). Omówiona została koncepcja sieci telekomunikacyjnej nowej generacji (NGN).
