Artykuł ukazuje miejsce i znaczenie policyjnego szkolenia podstawowego zawodowego w procesie kształtowania kadrowego potencjału Policji. Rozważania w nim zawarte zmierzają do ustalenia warunków, od których zależy efektywność tego szkolenia oraz – w tym kontekście – oceny możliwości włączenia szkół wyższych w proces przygotowania studentów do wykonywania zawodu policjanta. Według autora artykułu konfrontacja argumentów za i przeciw współpracy Policji z uczelniami jednoznacznie przemawia za jej podjęciem.

The article shows the place and importance of police basic professional training in the process of developing human resources capacity of the Police. Considerations contained therein are intended to establish the conditions which determine the effectiveness of this training, and – in this context – the evaluation of the possibility of including higher education institutions in the process of preparing students for the profession of a policeman. According to the author, the evaluation of the arguments for and against the Police cooperation with universities weighs clearly in favour of its adoption.
