The article entitled The criticism of culture according to Stanisław Lem presents the culturosophical views of the eminent Polish writer Stanisław Lem. In the context of cultural criticism the article introduces the aspects from the theory of nature, sociology and philosophy. The consecutive subsections present Lem’s attitude towards different issues listed as follows: human being, the process of evolution, the man as a social and biological creature and his place in the natural world, the culture created by a man which, in the writer’s opinion, performs an adopting role.
