Artykuł jest próbą zaprezentowania możliwości adaptacji metodologii foresight do potrzeb długookresowego prognozowania kierunków rozwoju stosunkowo nowej nauki, jaką jest logistyka bezpieczeństwa. Nasilająca się intensywność zjawisk kryzysowych związanych z siłami przyrody i działalnością technologiczną człowieka powoduje konieczność opracowania nowoczesnych rozwiązań teoretycznych i wykonawczych zabezpieczających logistycznie prowadzenie działań ratowniczych. Rozwój logistyki bezpieczeństwa jako nauki jest i będzie silnie związany z postępem technologii, stosunków ekonomicznych oraz społecznych. Wyzwaniem jest więc dostosowanie myśli teoretycznej młodej nauki do prognoz zdarzeń w ujęciu wieloletnim dla szeroko rozumianego obszaru bezpieczeństwa. Aktualnie intensywność zmian w ww. dziedzinach wyprzedza teoretyczne i praktyczne zasady funkcjonowania logistyki bezpieczeństwa. Potrzebom tym może wyjść naprzeciw foresight, który ze swoim bogatym zapleczem metodologicznym i dorobkiem warsztatowym pozwala na prognozowanie i kreowanie kierunków rozwoju wielu dziedzin badań naukowych i społecznych w perspektywie kilkudziesięcioletniej.

The article attempts to present the possibilities of adapting the foresight methodology to the needs of a long-term forecasting of the directions in which will develop the comparatively new science which is „the security logistics”. Increasing intensity of crisis events, associated with the forces of nature and technological activity of man, causes the need for development of the modern theoretical solutions and implementing regulations, which logistically secure the management of the rescue operations. The development of the security logistics as a science, is and will be closely related to the progress of technologies, and advancement of the economic and social relations. Therefore, the challenge lies in the adjusting of the theoretical thinking of the young science to the forecasting of events on the long-term basis, for the broadly understood area of security. Currently, the intensity of changes in the above-mentioned fields outdistanced the theoretical and practical rules for functioning of the security logistics. Foresight could meet that needs, as – with its rich methodological background and experience acquired through workshops, it allows for forecasting and creating the guidelines for future development of many fields of scientific and social research in perspective of several decades.
