W tekście uzasadniana jest teza, że wyobrażenie skarbu, rozumianego jako różnego rodzaju ukryte rzeczy (nie zawsze o znaczącej materialnej wartości), można uznać za jeden z mnemotoposów, w znaczeniu jakie nadał temu pojęciu Stefan Bednarek, mieszkańców Dolnego Śląska. Skarb, zdaniem autorki, jest toposem pamięci komunikacyjnej Dolnoślązaków. Jest również obecny w wymiarze fundacyjnym (kulturowym – J. Assmann) pamięci zbiorowej tej społeczności. Skarb buduje pomost między pamięcią komunikacyjną Dolnoślązaków a pamięcią kulturową dawnych mieszkańców tego regionu.

The article argues that the concept of treasure, perceived as various kinds of hidden things (not always of much financial value), can be recognized as one of mnemotoposes, following the meaning attributed to this term by Stefan Bednarek, of the inhabitants of Lower Silesia. Treasure, in my opinion, is a topos of the communicative memory of the people living in the region. It is also present at the founding level (cultural – J. Assmann) of the collective memory of the community. Treasure bridges the gap between the communicative memory of the people inhabiting Lower Silesia at present and the cultural memory of the past inhabitants of the region.
