The aim of this article is to present the competences of the State Sanitary Inspection in the scope of conducting sanitary controls, especially concerning general rules of controlling businesses (e.g. the duty to deliver a notification before controlling a particular enterprise). Describing types of administrative decisions issued by the State Sanitary Inspection, the author tries to indicates also consequences of violations and misdemeanours detected during control.
