The article is about the develop of women as political leaders. The author conducted research and analysis on the following women who are currently holding or have held the office of President in European countries: Vigdis Finnbogadottir, Mary Robinson, Mary McAleese, Vaira Vike-Freiberg, Tarja Halonen, Dalia Grybauskaite, Atifete Jahjaga. Details are presented about the various problems the women faced and obstacles along their respective paths to inclusion in the political realm and pursuits for sustainable political careers. The analysis concerns every detail of each woman; their career paths are traced and their political and policy decisions are examined.
