Artykuł podejmuje aktualny problem badawczy. Temat zmian i wynikających z ich skutków podejmowany jest przez badaczy, szczególnie wojskowych. Jednym z obszarów, w których konsekwencje poczynań reformatorów są najbardziej widoczne, są Wojska Specjalne. Autor stara się pokazać, jakie zmiany wprowadzono i jak wpłynęły na kształt i funkcjonowanie tego rodzaju sił zbrojnych. Dokonuje analizy krytycznej, wskazując na liczne wady przyjętych rozwiązań. Proponuje także zmiany, które pozwoliłyby na przywrócenie sprawności systemu Wojsk Specjalnych w Polsce. Traktując to jako przyczynek do dyskusji i wypracowania optymalnych rozwiązań uwzględniających polskie uwarunkowania. Tekst bazuje na materiałach źródłowych poddanych analizie i towarzyszących im ocenach i wnioskach.

The article elaborates on the current research problem. Subject matter of changes and their effects is often taken by researchers, especially by the military. One of the areas in which the consequences of the reformers’ actions are most visible is the Special Forces. The author tries to show changes that have been made, and how they influenced the structure and functioning of this type of armed forces. By critical analysis he points out numerous disadvantages of the approved solutions. He also suggests changes that would allow to restore the efficiency of the system of Special Forces in Poland. The author treats the above as a starting point in a discussion and a way to develop optimal solutions that take Polish circumstances into consideration. The text is based on analysed source materials, as well as accompanying assessments and conclusions.
