Celem artykułu jest wskazanie na wybrane, podstawowe konsekwencje zwrotu językowego dla pedagogiki jako dyscypliny naukowej i praktyki. Zjawisko linguistic turn było efektem ewolucji w obrębie filozofii języka, w związku z czym artykuł uwzględnia autorską interpretację historii przemian kategorii języka, akcentując proces jej emancypacji wobec innych kategorii filozoficznych (epistemologicznych). Zwieńczeniem ewolucji filozofii języka był zwrot lingwistyczny, który wraz z całą serią kolejnych „turns” wpisał się w charakterystykę tzw. nowej humanistyki i jej metodologii. Tak zarysowane tło historyczne i filozoficzno-językowe pozwala na wskazanie wybranych konsekwencji problematyki zwrotu językowego dla teorii i praktyki pedagogicznej.

The aim of the paper is to indicate chosen, basic consequences of the linguistic turn in educational studies in its theoretical and practical aspects. Phenomenon of the linguistic turn was the result of evolution in the field of the philosophy of language. For this reason, the paper includes the authorial interpretation of the language categories changes, emphasizing the process of its emancipation towards the other philosophical (epistemological) categories. The crowning of language evolution was the linguistic turn which – with series of subsequent “turns” – inscribed in the characteristics of so called “the new humanities” and its methodology. The historical and philosophical background outlined in this way allows to analyze certain consequences of the linguistic turn in the theoretical and practical perspective of educational studies.
