Business Environment Institutions in Poland were to be one of the key links to the growth of innovative companies. However, as the researches have shown, their impact on the realization of innovative projects is very limited. The aim of the article is to identify the key barriers that have an influence on this situation. Verification has been subjected to both the institutions and their offer and the entrepreneurs.
