Od czasu, gdy pedagodzy specjalni coraz większą wagę przywiązują do właściwie pojętej integracji i normalizacji, akcentuje się również konieczność aktywnego udziału osób z niepełnosprawnością w procesie rehabilitacji. Zarówno teoretycy, jak i praktycy podkreślają, że realizacja głównych celów rehabilitacji może mieć miejsce jedynie przy czynnym zaangażowaniu osoby z niepełnosprawnością. Dzięki jej podmiotowemu traktowaniu możliwe jest rozwijanie zdolności do autorehabilitacji i do ponoszenia części odpowiedzialności za skutki prowadzonych terapii. Wczesne angażowanie dziecka, zachęcanie go do podejmowania samodzielnych aktywności o cechach rehabilitacji umożliwia pełen rozwój jego samodzielności i odpowiedzialności. Najlepszą formę autorehabilitacji dziecka stanowi zabawa. W artykule przedstawiono zalety zabaw plastycznych w kontekście autorehabilitacji i na podstawie doświadczeń z pracy specjalistów terapii ręki.

From the time when the special needs educationists are more interested in social inclusion andan idea of normalization, a need of active participating of people with disability in rehabilitationprocess is emphasized. Scientists as well as special needs teachers and therapists stress that animplementation of the main rehabilitation aims is possible only if the disability person is engaged inthis process. Thanks to being active the disabled people can develop their capability to self-directedrehabilitation and to taking the responsibility for the effects of therapy. The child who is engagedin the process of therapy and who is encouraged to being independent has a chance to became selfreliant and responsible. Children games are the best of form of self-directed rehabilitation. In thisarticle the author tries to show the benefits of kids art games usied in hand therapy.
