W artykule rozważam problem tożsamości osobowej w perspektywie psychologicznej Dereka Parfita. Wychodząc od intuicji obecnych w literaturze (M. Proust, A. Sołżenicyn), pokazuję, że brak łączności psychologicznej nie musi pociągać za sobą utraty tożsamości, a może być opisywany jako sukcesja następujących po sobie jaźni. Akcentuję jednak, że seria jaźni nie jest stanowiskiem ontologicznym, lecz sposobem opisu zróżnicowanych stopni łączności psychologicznych.

Im Artikel wird das Problem der personalen Identität aus psychologischer Perspektive bei Derek Parfit betrachtet. Indem ich von den in der Literatur vorhandenen Vorahnungen (M. Proust, A. Solschenizyn) ausgehe, zeige ich, dass der Mangel an psychologischer Verbindung nicht den Identitätsverlust nach sich ziehen muss, sondern als eine Nachfolge der aufeinander folgenden Ich-Identitäten dargestellt werden kann. Dabei wird jedoch hervorgehoben, dass die Sequenz der Identitäten kein ontologischer Standpunkt ist, sondern eine Darstellungsweise der differenzierten Stufen der psychologischen Verbindungen.

Examined is the notion of personal identity from the psychological perspective of Derek Parfit. Referring to the perception of intuition found in literature ( in works by M. Proust, A. Solzhenitsyn) the author concludes that the lack of psychological connections does not necessarily lead to loss of identity and can be described as a sequence of consecutive egos. He points out, however, that a series of the egos does not constitute an ontological position but is a way of describing versatile degrees of psychological links.
