Cel. Dokonanie analizy uwarunkowań rozwoju klastrów turystycznych w Polsce na podstawie istniejących inicjatyw klastrowych oraz naświetlenie czynników sprzyjających i zobrazowanie barier rozwojowych dzisiejszego klasteringu. Metoda. Badania literaturowe przedmiotu, dane statystyczne oraz badania własne - ankietowe. Zastosowano metodykę tabelaryczno-liczbową oraz analizę porównawczą. Wyniki. W toku pracy przeprowadzono badania literaturowe i empiryczne związane z klasteringiem jako zjawiskiem innowacyjności w gospodarce oraz jego oddziaływaniem na polskie podmioty gospodarcze, gremia naukowe oraz samorządy. Powyższe studia pozwoliły na dogłębne przeprowadzenie analizy tematu w zakresie uwarunkowań rozwojowych klastrów, a tym samym zrealizowanie celu pracy. Idea klasteringu znana jest na świecie od wielu lat. W Polsce koncepcja klastra jest nadal pojęciem dość nowym, chociaż wzmianki na ten temat pojawiały się już pod koniec lat 90. ubiegłego wieku. Celem pracy było dokonanie analizy uwarunkowań rozwoju klastrów turystycznych w Polsce na podstawie istniejących inicjatyw klastrowych oraz naświetlenie czynników sprzyjających i zobrazowanie barier rozwojowych dzisiejszego klasteringu. W toku pracy przeprowadzono badania literaturowe i empiryczne związane z klasteringiem, jako zjawiskiem innowacyjności w gospodarce oraz jego oddziaływaniem na polskie podmioty gospodarcze, gremia naukowe oraz samorządy. Powyższe studia pozwoliły na dogłębne przeprowadzenie analizy tematu w zakresie uwarunkowań rozwojowych klastrów, a tym samym zrealizowanie celu pracy. Niniejszy artykuł jest oryginalny ze względu na zastosowanie stosunkowo nowego podejścia do sektora turystycznego, w którym podejście to nie było szerzej wykorzystywane.

Purpose – Analyzing the conditions of development of tourist clusters in Poland based on existing cluster initiatives as well as highlighting favorable factors and depicting development barriers of today's clustering. Methodology – Literature research of the subject, statistical data and own research - questionnaire. The tabular and numerical methodology and comparative analysis were applied. Findings – In the course of the work, literature and empirical research related to clustering was carried out as a phenomenon of innovation in the economy and its impact on Polish economic entities, scientific bodies and local governments. The above studies allowed for in-depth analysis of the subject in terms of developmental conditions of clusters, and thus the achievement of the objective of the work. The concept of clustering has been known in the world for many years. In Poland, the concept of the cluster is still quite new, although mention of the subject appeared at the end of the ‘90s last century. The aim of the work was to analyze the conditions of development the tourist clusters in Poland on the basis of existing cluster initiatives and to indicate favorable factors and the development barriers of today's clustering. In the course of the work, literature and empirical research related to clustering was carried out as a phenomenon of innovation in the economy and its impact on Polish economic entities, scientific bodies and local governments. The above studies have allowed for in-depth analysis of the subject in terms of the developmental conditions of the clusters, and thus fulfillment of the objective of the work. This article is original due to the application of a relatively new approach to the tourism sector, in which this approach was not widely used.
