This paper shows, by means of a linguistic survey, that not all conceptualisations reconstructed on the basis of linguistic facts create the linguistic worldview understood as a socially established interpretation of the reality. Some of them contain a logical error of hypostasis, which may be why language users treat the conceptualised notions differently than their verbal counterparts, in particular when they are in the form of a catachresis, that is a metaphor being a part of the lexical system of every language.
