The author of the article, using different sources, analyzes the confessional relations in Pinsk region before the adoption of the brest union and after its acceptance. It is shown that Orthodoxy before the adoption of the Brest union was the most influential faith in Pinsk region, thus already having a developed structure of management. The author proves that in the period of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth on the lands of Pinsk region there was a rather favourable legal situation for the development of dialogue relations in two spheres of communication space – religion and culture. The Orthodox Church, following the traditions put during its formation, didn’t lose the influence. Its doors were still open for “strangers”, and in the sphere of communication space the Orthodox Church didn’t lose the influence in dialogue relations.
