Pilar Ezpeleta Piorno is senior lecturer at the Department of Transla-tion and Communication of the University Jaume I, Spain, where she teaches literary translation. She graduated in English Philology and completed her postgraduate studies at the University of London, the University of Gent, and the Shakespeare Foundation of Spain. She earned a PhD in English Philology at the University of Valencia with a dissertation on theatre translation and Shakespear-ean drama. She has been Director of the Master in Translation and Communication of the Shakespeare Foundation of Spain and has taught English Literature and literary translation at the University of Valencia. Her main research interests and publications deal with literary and drama translation, and textual genres for translation. She is now engaged in the research teams GENTT (www.gentt.uji.es), TradMed (www.tradmed.uji.es), and the Shakespeare Institute of the Shake-speare Foundation of Spain.
