She received her M.Phil. in Classical Philology (1988) and Ph.D. in Indo-European linguistics (2006) from the University of Łódź, Poland, where she is currently affiliated at the Department of Linguistics and Indo-European Studies. Her research interests are primarily in the Indo-European linguistics, especially in the history and etymology of the Italic and Romance languages and dialects of Italian. She was part of research stages at the Comenius University in Bratislava (1993), at the University for Foreigners in Perugia (1994), at the Ludwig Maxi- milian University of Munich (1995) and at the University of Milan (2013) - CEJSH
