The Credit Union Act of 5th of November 2009 which took effect on the 27th of October 2012 interposed new regulations on membership in Credit Unions. The act allows legal persons to gain membership in Credit Unions. This has an essential effect on the most characteristic element of membership in Credit Unions- the occupational or organizational bond.
