The aim of this study was to examine chosen conditionings affecting development of rural tourism. Study covers the field of interest related to the legal issues of the tourism activity, location of tourism activity and also organizational forms of tourism activities located in rural areas. Conducted analysis revealed unambiguously that both during setting up and running of a tourism activity area of legal issues was insufficiently taken into account by the entrepreneurs. This causes insufficient preparation of the entrepreneurs to take up such activity, which effects in decreased possibilities in gaining of local government and socio-economical policy support. To recapitulate, taking up of tourism activity in rural areas by the entrepreneurs without getting adequate preparation exposes themselves on failure. Failure that could evince in example as a lack of ability in adopting commercial offer to the clients needs. Important role in the area of tourism activity is played by the advisory institutions, which helps in running of tourism activity. It is also worth mentioning that some people running such activity are absolutely no interested in any form of support.
