The article presents results of a research conducted on a group of 109 lifeguards working on 23 facilities (designated water basins). The research covered observation of activities taken by this group during their work. The authors noticed a number of improper behaviors of lifeguards, that pose a hazard to the users and that can constitute a basis to bring an indictment against the managers or lifeguards staff. Taken actions are ordered by employers, are sole lifeguards’ decisions or are a token of their insufficient consciousness as to the effects and consequences.
