Występowanie – zgodnie z obowiązującymi regulacjami prawnymi – możliwości dokonywania alternatywnych i subiektywnych wyborów powoduje, że ustalane wyniki mogą mieć różną wartość informacyjną. Na jakość tych informacji duży wpływ ma także wykorzystywanie przez rachunkowość szacunków i subiektywnych ocen. W artykule opisano cechy jakościowe informacji finansowej, wskazując na tym tle główne czynniki determinujące jakość wyniku finansowego przedsiębiorstwa: rezerwy oraz odpisy aktualizujące z tytułu utraty wartości aktywów.

Financial statements provide stakeholders with a range of information about the company. The most important of them are the correct measurement and presentation of the results of the company's activities expressed as financial results. In accordance with the law regulations exists the possibility of making alternative choices and subjective causes that determined the results. They may have a different value of the information. The quality of this information is highly influenced by the use of accounting estimates and judgments. The article describes the qualitative characteristics of financial information, indicating the main factors determining the quality of the financial result of the company as provisions and write-downs for impairment of assets.
