W artykule analizowany jest potencjał współczesnego uczenia się w sieci i rozbudowujące się możliwości korzystania z zasobów internetowych do samodzielnego lub wspólnotowego kształcenia się online. Okres intensywnego wykorzystywania sieci do nauczania zdalnego w okresie pandemii Covid -19 wpłynął na postawy wobec uczenia się taką metodą, ujawnił też zalety i wady takich rozwiązań. Jednak trendy rozwoju edukacji w sieci są uniwersalne, a nie jedynie okolicznościowe. Z upływem czasu, wraz z przezwyciężaniem przeszkód technologicznych i organizacyjnych w upowszechnianiu edukacji przez Internet, zwiększa się wymóg wysokiej jakości treści edukacyjnych, systemów kontroli tej jakości i elastyczności w doborze indywidualnych ścieżek uczenia się. Kluczowe stają się kwestie uwarunkowań ludzkich, zindywidualizowanych i specyficznych w konkretnym środowisku edukacji online. Zrelacjonowane w artykule prowadzone przez nas badania potwierdzają wagę czynnika ludzkiego w implementacji skutecznej edukacji w sieci. Jednocześnie wskazują na istnienie zapewne nieusuwalnych ograniczeń w możliwości zastąpienia wielu elementów uczenia się tradycyjnego przez ich odpowiedniki internetowe.

The article analyzes the potential of modern online learning and the expanding possibilities of using Internet resources for independent or community online learning. The period of intensive use of distance learning during the Covid -19 pandemic changed attitudes towards online learning, and revealed its advantages and disadvantages. However, development of online education is universal, not just occasional. It requires high-quality educational content, quality control systems, and flexibility in the selection of individual learning pathways. Individualization of online learning process is now the major concern of content providers. Our research confirms that when technological and organizational obstacles of delivering education via the Internet were removed, the human factor became a key component of the effective implementation of online education. Nevertheless, the article draws attention to the existing limitations of online education and the fact that traditional learning is irreplaceable.
