On 18/10/2023, a skeletal grave was excavated in the town of Lednogóra at the request of the police intervening due to the accidental discovery of bone remains. The extracted bone material was transported to the Anthropological Laboratory of the Museum of the First Piasts at Lednica, where an anthropological analysis was conducted. The sex and age were determined, and the living height was calculated along with a description of observable macroscopic pathological changes. The examinations revealed that the skeleton belonged to a man who had died at an age of between 30 to 40 years old. The reconstructed living height was 173.4 cm (according to the Trotter and Gleser method). Degenerative changes, primarily affecting the spine, as well as signs of healed injuries, were observed on the bones.
