W artykule omówiono kluczowe projekty energetyczne realizowane oraz planowane na obszarze Bałkanów, które mogą w znaczny sposób wpłynąć na bezpieczeństwo energetyczne regionu, jak i Europy. W pierwszej części został ujęty bilans energetyczny wybranych bałkańskich państw m.in. zasoby strategicznych surowców, produkcja energii elektrycznej. Następnie wyszczególniono najważniejsze projekty energetyczne na Bałkanach tzn. powstające lub planowane gazociągi i ropociągi. W zwięzłej analizie podjęto kwestie South Stream - gazociągu realizowanego przez Rosję, Nabucco - pomysłu wspieranego przez UE, TAP - Trans Adriatic Pipeline zainicjowanego przez Azerbejdżan oraz IAP - Ionian Adriatic Pipline. W zakresie ropociągów przybliżono inwestycje: PEOP - Pan-European Pipeline oraz AMBO - Albanian Macedonian Bulgarian Oil Piepline, mających dostarczyć ropę z Azji Środkowej do UE. W dalszej części przedstawiono implikacje realizowanych projektów dla bezpieczeństwa energetycznego Bałkanów, Europy Środkowej (w tym dla Polski) oraz Europy Zachodniej. W tym zakresie odniesiono się do korytarza gazowego Północ-Południe oraz do międzypaństwowych interkonektorów. W podsumowaniu została podjęta ocena realizacji projektów energetycznych na Bałkanach, z określeniem ich wpływu na bezpieczeństwoenergetyczne państw z regionu, Europy Środkowej i Zachodniej.

This paper presents implemented and planned energy projects in the area of the Balkan Peninsula, which could have a significant influence on the regional and European energy security. In the first part was included energy balance of selected Balkan countries f.e. resources of coal, crude oil and gas; electricity production. Next it was explained question of the most important energy projects in the Balkans (planned pipelines) i.e. gas pipelines: South Stream, Nabucco (Nabbuco West), Trans Adriatic Pipeline, Ionian Adriatic Pipline and oil pipelines: Pan-European Pipeline and Albanian Macedonian Bulgarian Oil Piepline.The implications of the projects for the energy security of the Balkans, Central Europe and Western Europe were presented in the following section of paper. The impact of energy projects in the Balkans on energy security of the region and Europe was specified in the conclusions.
