The construction of the staff age began with the erection of a skeleton support structure (pillars and beams) which was then sheathed with metal sheet insulated with ’’abizol”. Next the structure was covered with a suitably thick layer of ”siporex” bound with foamed concrete; in some places, this layer was currently checked for the conformity with the picture. Later a mass of foamed concrete based on fly-ash was cast (the method was worked out by the Institute of Building Engineering, of the Wroclaw Politechniie). It can be formed and re-sculpted. The top layer was coloured and covered with sterilised sand. The terrain thus prepared was then planted with roots, bushes and grass. Eventually, the colouring of the terrain was retouched to make it match the Racławice Panorama painting. In general, the construction of the staffage was improvised and only partly based on the design.
