Publikuje się tutaj 5 listów do Stefana Żeromskiego i jego żony, napisanych w latach 1892-1898 przez wybitnego działacza polskiego ruchu narodowo-demokratycznego, Romana Dmowskiego. W kilka lat później Żeromski i Dmowski stali się wybitnymi postaciami dwóch walczących z sobą nurtów politycznych; wówczas wypowiadali się o sobie nawzajem bardzo krytycznie. Nim to nastąpiło, nim w początkach XX w. dokonała się polaryzacja polskiej sceny politycznej, możliwa była ich współpraca, a nawet przyjaźń. Drukowane tutaj listy są tego świadectwem.

Published here are 5 letters to Stefan Żeromski and his wife written from 1892 to 1898 by Roman Dmowski, an eminent activist of The National Democracy. A few years later Żeromski and Dmowski became outstanding figures of two fighting political parties, and at that time both of them spoke quite critically about each other. Before that time, when at the beginning of 20th century the Polish political scene became polarized, the two cooperated and even developed friendship the testimony of which is the set of letters published here.
