Celem artykułu jest odpowiedź na pytanie, w jaki sposób pandemia COVID-19 wpłynęła na sytuację osób młodych na unijnym rynku pracy? Jakie działania oraz inicjatywy podejmują w obszarze wspierania młodej generacji Unii Europejskiej? W artykule przedstawiono wskaźniki dotyczące stopy bezrobocia osób młodych w krajach członkowskich UE, sytuację osób z grona NEET (młodych ludzi niepracujących, nieuczących i nieszkolących się). W dalszej części artykułu zaprezentowano działania i rekomendacje w zakresie polityki społecznej podejmowane przez instytucje UE w obszarze wsparcia ludzi młodych jako odpowiedź na kryzys spowodowany pandemią COVID-19. Teza postawiona w artykule stanowi, iż pandemia COVID-19 doprowadziła do pogorszenia sytuacji ludzi młodych na rynku pracy.

The aim of the article is to answer the question of what is the situation of young people on the EU labour market in face of the COVID-19 pandemic. What activities and initiatives are taken to support the EU young generation in search of jobs? The article presents the indicators of the unemployment rate of young people in the EU Member States, the situation of NEET (young people not in employment, education, or training). The second part of the article recommends a number of activities in the field of social policy that may be taken by the EU institutions in response to the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The thesis put forward in the article states that the COVID-19 pandemic has worsened the situation of young people on the EU labour market.
