W artykule tym nakreślono ewolucję koncepcji pomiaru dokonań przedsiębiorstw oraz zaprezentowano jedną z metod oceny dokonań przedsiębiorstw –VAIC™ –która z założenia jej autora ma odpowiadać wymogom Nowej Ekonomii. W artykule skoncentrowano się na zaprezentowaniu charakterystyki metody VAIC™ oraz algorytmu jej wyliczania. Podjęto również próbę oceny tej metody, z punktu widzenia jej prawidłowości i przydatności.
