Artykuł przedstawia problematykę nowych ruchów religijnych w cyberprzestrzeni. Internet jest dziś miejscem upowszechniania różnych ideologii i poglądów oraz skutecznej reklamy. Dlatego też stał się on dobrym środowiskiem dla rozwoju alternatywnych grup kultowych. Rozmaite wspólnoty mają tu swoje strony www, na których głoszą własne poglądy, zapraszając do poznawania oraz eksperymentowania z rozmaitymi formami religijności czy duchowości. Sieć to również obszar działań profilaktycznych w zakresie przeciwdziałania destrukcyjnej aktywności nowych ruchów religijnych, przestrzegania społeczeństwa przed szkodliwym wpływem tych organizacji

This paper discusses the issues related to the latest religious movements in cyberspace. Nowadays, the Internet is a place of popularization of different ideologies and views as well as the one of effective advertising. Therefore it has become a favourable environment for alternative cult groups. Various communities have their websites in cyberspace, where they voice their opinions, inviting the visitors to familiarize themselves with a wide range of religious and spiritual issues. The Internet also constitutes the space of preventive actions aimed at counteracting the destructive influences of new religious movements and warning the society against the detrimental effects of those organizations.
