In his article the author deals with works on documentation for the wooden building monuments in the Rzeszów Voivodship area which are actually carried out by the Scientific-Historical Documentation Department of the Historical Monument Conservation Atelier in Lublin. More detailed attention is paid by the author to problems, and especially that of dating, of the wooden orthodox uniate church at Krempna, Jasło district, as he himself collaborated in preparing of its historical documentation. The need for a more tight co-operation between the historian-documentalist and the architect and builder is emphasized in conclusion.
