NIK examined the effects of the thermal renovation of external layers of buildings (walls, windows, doors), which had been performed by housing associations with the use of co-financing from the Thermal Renovation and Refurbishment Fund, and regional funds for environmental protection and water management. The audit evaluated to what extent the results achieved were compliant with the original plans, the actual reduction of energy consumption, and the decrease in energy prices. The audit covered 354 multi-family houses owned by 19 housing associations from all over the country.
