Artykuł stanowi analizę zmian na rynku repo w Stanach Zjednoczonych oraz Unii Europejskiej. Zaprezentowane dane podkreślają stale rosnący udział tego rynku w finansowaniu instytucji pośrednictwa finansowego. Dodatkowym sprzy¬mierzeńcem rozwoju jest wprowadzona ostatnio regulacja dotycząca depozytów zabezpieczających w obrocie instrumentami pochodnymi. Autorka wskazuje na potrzebę zwiększenia przejrzystości i kontroli rynku repo, zważywszy na istotne źródło ryzyka systemowego.
