Celem niniejszego artykułu jest empiryczne sprawdzenie czy strategia inwestycyjna bazująca na zaleceniach płynących z rekomendacji publikowanych przez biura maklerskie może w długim terminie wygenerować ponadprzeciętną stopę zwrotu. Analitycy badający kondycję finansową oraz perspektywy spółek starają się wyznaczyć ich wartość wewnętrzną, a tym samym docelowe ceny akcji. Jeżeli są one znacząco niższe lub wyższe od obecnej wyceny rynkowej, pojawia się sygnał do zajęcia odpowiednio krótkiej lub długiej pozycji na danych walorach. Niniejsza praca proponuje strategię bazującą na rekomendacjach opublikowanych w latach 2007-2014 z 7 biur maklerskich dla 10 spółek z WIG20. Przeprowadzone badanie pokazuje, że inwestowanie według zaleceń analityków z biur maklerskich może przynieść ponadprzeciętną stopę zwrotu w długim terminie. Pozwala to również na odrzucenie półsilnej hipotezy rynku efektywnego. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The aim of this study is to research whether the investment strategy based on recommendations published by brokerage houses is able to generate an abnormal rate of return in the long term. The analysts' research on the financial condition and outlook of the company are conducted to calculate intrinsic value of the stock. In case there is a significant difference between current price and target price, the investment signal appears and investors can take long or short position in search of some profits. This paper suggests a strategy based on the recommendations published by 7 brokerage houses for 10 stocks from WIG20 in 2007-2014. The suggested strategy provides evidence that it is possible to generate an abnormal rate of return in the long term, and also questions the semi-strong efficient market hypothesis.(original abstract)
