Abstracts
Krzysztof Michalski, Jan Paweł II and Józef Tischner are a few of the philosophers who considered solidarity to be one of the most cherished values to be had. But what does it mean nowadays? Is solidarity still as important as it was in ’80 or is it obsolete? Is solidarity stronger than loyalty? Is it a moral feeling? Is it universal? The following article explores this topic by giving multiple examples and opinions of philosophers from various schools and times. The author makes an attempt to find the answer to one very important question – what made society less trusting in solidarity?
